Artisan polishing an acetate sunglasses frame in a workshop

FaraLens

Built to outlast the season

We started FaraLens because good eyewear had become disposable. Frames that warped in a summer, hinges that gave out, lenses that scratched the first time they met a pocket. We wanted to make the opposite of that.

The workshop

Slower, on purpose

Each frame is cut from a single block of Italian acetate, then tumbled and hand-polished over several days until the surface turns glass-smooth. Injection moulding would take minutes. We think the difference shows after a year of wear.

What we hold ourselves to

Materials first

Italian acetate and stainless steel. No painted plastic pretending to be either.

Real protection

UV400 on every single frame we sell. Never an upgrade, never an extra.
